I am over and done with,
finished,
in the trash,
put out for the binman.
The dark hooded binman.
He waves his sharpness in greeting,
a final farewell greeting.
A welcome to my world greeting.
The binman is here to take out the trash.
Gratified
in self conscious schemings.
Teeming
with lust and venge.
ATTACK!
Swarming to defense,
the battle of nonsensical nonchalancy,
seemingly swimming from his lips to his,
words, phrases, perfect, imperfect,
first, second, third.
It’s all the same,
you cannot tame!
Control your mind.
Righteous anger
flowing forth.
HOLD BACK!
Do not give in.

Take a breath
A long deep sigh.
Smell that?
It’s brimstone.
Extend your fingers
Reach out.
Feel that?
It’s fire.
Open your mouth
Lick the air.
Taste that?
It’s smoke.
Listen closely
Strain your ears.
Hear that?
It’s a river.
Open your eyes
Look about.
See that?
He is your ferryman.

Walking through the urban undergrowth
Huge concrete trees
Brush the clouds
Scrape the sky
Scurrying ants
Covering the forest
Going about their business
Private
Secretive
Predators stalk the alleys.
Run in fear.

Like a cigarette
I am ground by your heel.
Into the dust
My pain you must feel.
Dash me aside
Throw me asunder.
This may just be
Your final, last blunder.
I can rise up, fight
Against your regime
You think you can rule
my spirit, supreme.
At my touch, you must turn
And in turning flee
For you shall be hunted
And ruled by me.
To late did I linger
Alone do I ponder
Heart blown asunder
Affections grow fonder
Too many a blunder
You grow ever kinder
I find that you render
Myself a boy wonder
Feelings that thunder
Thoughts the grow thinner
I grow, and grow bolder
My mind, you shall plunder
I was wandering
through this long life.
You caught me wondering
about trouble and strife.
How can I find sorrow
With so much to thank for.
And yet I seem to burrow
Sinking slowly through the floor.
When I am with you
And you with him,
I am a third wheel, held by a screw
to tie me to your whim.
Every which way I turn
I see more dead ends
Ends that end in spurn
Or with never ending bends.
When I am with you
And you with him,
I am a third wheel, held by a screw
to tie me to your whim.
Twisting and turning
Down the pathway
My stomach churning
Kick me where I lay
When I am with you
And you with him,
I am a third wheel, held by a screw
to tie me to your whim.
You cannot please me
yet I know you try.
I see guilt, pity for me
Writhing in your eyes.
When I am with you
And you with him,
I am a third wheel, held by a screw
to tie me to your whim.
A stab to the heart
and meaningless comforts
are the same, useless art
and they my mind contorts.
I throw back your insults
your compliments, your lies.
You, once my consult
now force me to cry.
When I am with you
And you with him,
I am a third wheel, without a screw
to hold me to your whim.
At the edges of consiousness
Peripheral reality
You know, as well as I
Hatred bubbles beneath the skin
On the far horizon
You know as well as I
Fazed out, blurred
Barely visible
Yet you know as well as I
You think you don’t
Denial from reality
Yet you know as well as I
I defy you to search
Delve, under our skins
As you know as well as I
I know you will find
The deep seated hatred
You know as well as I
Pretences, falseness
Outside reality
Yet you know as well as I
Anger, hatred, emotional malaise
All of these I know
You know as well as I
I lay and I sleep
And as I sleep, I sigh
I sigh and think of all the things
All of the things we could do
We could do and be
We could be amazing, something special
Something special, something unique
Priceless
Priceless are the joys
The joys and pleasures you bring
You bring the thought of all things pretty
All things pretty, but not with your looks
Not with looks but with mind
With mind, and heart
And heart and soul
Priceless
You spurned me, reluctantly
Reluctantly turned me away
Turned me away, not because you don’t like me
Not because you dislike me but because you don’t love me
You don’t love me, so I love you more
I love you more than finding a soul
Finding a souls or a talent
Priceless
Your love is unrelinquishing
Unrelinquishing and cruel
Cruelness as not for me
Not for me but for him
For him you harbour true desire
True desire, love
Love and pleasure
Priceless
This is all priceless
Priceless but for the toll
The toll on my beating heart.
Do I defy you?
I defy you, defy all you say
Defy you when you say
Don’t love me.
Do I despair?
I despair, depairing without praying
Despair when you say
Don’t despair.
Do I run?
I run, run from the flaying
Run when you say
Don’t leave.
Do I cower?
I cower, cower from when I stay
Cower when you say
Don’t fear.
Do I forget?
No, I never forget, when you stay
Never forget when you say
Forget me.
