Walking through the urban undergrowth
Huge concrete trees
Brush the clouds
Scrape the sky
Scurrying ants
Covering the forest
Going about their business
Private
Secretive
Predators stalk the alleys.
Run in fear.

Like a cigarette
I am ground by your heel.
Into the dust
My pain you must feel.
Dash me aside
Throw me asunder.
This may just be
Your final, last blunder.
I can rise up, fight
Against your regime
You think you can rule
my spirit, supreme.
At my touch, you must turn
And in turning flee
For you shall be hunted
And ruled by me.
